We Will Fight For Our Women!
I'm writing this post after a watching documentary which the Indian government Banned from the country. If you haven't seen it yet, it's available on torrent sites and on YouTube.
The lawyer M. L Sharma in the video said and I quote "We have the best culture, in our culture there is no place for a woman". Seriously? When it has place for dogs like you ( and all men aren't dogs, only you are asshole) why can't our culture give equal importance to women? We come from a nation were women were killed after their husbands died, were marital rape is legal and eating cows has more punishment than the juvenile who raped Jyoti Singh (and 99% of India did not even know her God damn name till the documentary came out).
These so called lawyers who appeared on the video and Arnab Goswami should know when to shut their mouths. We don't want to see a debate on what can be done. We want a change. Our laws are written to save the criminals more than it is to provide justice. People fight to reduce the death penalty but not to reduce crime. Politicians give speeches but disappear in time.
To all the men who think women are the reason for rapes, if jerking off to porn is satisfying please get married soon before you rape an innocent woman. And to other men, I'm not asking you to treat every women like your sister, but at least treat them like a human being just like your mother.
And to all the women, not every man thinks women don't have place at the top. Not every man wants to rape you. And not every look is perverted. We are willing to fight for your rights, we will protect our women and we will happily support women equality and empowerment. I'm not saying we will treat you like sisters but as equals, as friends. Not every guy is desperate. Give us a chance.
And to our government, we will fight for this until we see a change, until the government serves it's people and not exploit them. Protect our women.
Women are precious, let's make them feel safe in our country.
Happy Women's day!

That documentary shook every right thinking, sensible Indian. It's sad that well qualified people like M.L Sharma have such a poor line of thinking. The mindset needs to change..and change can only be brought about by taking about it and not by brushing the dirt under the carpet.
ReplyDeleteEven today a 6 year old girl was raped, a normal human being can't be like this! These people deserve more brutal punishments!
